Sam is director of research at FRC. In this role, he is responsible for the management and coordination of FRC’s analyst staff. In addition, he serves as the project manager for a number of FRC products including its VA and mutual fund databases, FRC Market Analyst, and FRC Views on the News.
Previously, Sam served as a senior research analyst, where he focused on the retirement research area at FRC. In this role Sam has authored a number of issues of FRC Vision and FRC Focus, including:
He has also been an active participant in retirement-related strategy sessions and presentations. Sam joined FRC in October 2003 as a research analyst, where he focused on research and analysis of financial services trends for FRC publications and served as the client service contact for several of FRC’s largest clients.
Prior to joining FRC, Sam was a financial and investment analyst at Partners HealthCare System where he worked in its treasury department for its pension and endowment. Prior to Partners, Sam held a marketing and communications role at Evergreen Investment Services. He has ten years of industry experience.
Sam received an MBA in finance degree from Suffolk University and a Bachelors of Arts degree from University of Washington.
