Scott DeMonte
Director of Variable Annuities
Scott is director of variable annuities where he is responsible for leading FRC’s research and consulting in the variable annuity marketplace. This role includes the development of primary research, identifying and tracking industry best practices, and analyzing and evaluating market developments. In addition, Scott interfaces with key executives and decision makers at leading industry firms to identify, develop, and implement distribution and product strategy. Prior to joining FRC, Scott founded AnnuityIQ.com where he developed the first rating system for variable annuities and their living benefits. With 14 years of industry experience covering all aspects of the distribution of annuity products, Scott previously was employed as a regional vice president for Jackson National Life and as a regional marketing director for The Hartford. Scott has been quoted and featured in many industry books, articles, and publications including Investment News, and Annuity Market News. Scott studied business at SUNY Canton in Upstate New York and holds NASD Series 7 and Series 63 licenses and life and health license.
